Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Planner to join our team at GMI Construction Group PLC in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, coordination, and management of project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Scheduling: Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Asta Powerproject.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and support the preparation of reports for senior planners and project managers.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to collect data and provide updates on project timelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated effectively.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience: Previous experience in construction planning, project coordination, or a similar role is advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with planning software (e.g., Asta Powerproject) and a solid understanding of construction methodologies and processes.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
