Life Sciences Patent Attorney Career

Kilburn & Strode LLP is a leading firm of European patent and trade mark attorneys with offices in London, The Netherlands and San Francisco. We are seeking a talented individual to join our Life Sciences team as a Trainee Patent Attorney.

The successful candidate will have a solid scientific background, a strong academic record and a graduate or postgraduate degree in a biological sciences related subject. They will be responsible for working on innovative inventions outside of the lab, while studying towards their exams to become a qualified UK and European patent attorney.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working on a diverse range of technology and IP matters in the life sciences field
  • Studying towards exams to become a qualified UK and European patent attorney
  • Developing skills and knowledge in patent law and practice
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality results

We welcome applications from candidates who are on track to, or have achieved a minimum of a 2:1 at undergraduate level. Candidates with a postgraduate degree and a 2:2 in their undergraduate degree will also be considered.
