We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare menus that cater to individual dietary requirements and preferences.
- Source and purchase high-quality ingredients to ensure exceptional meal quality.
- Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure that kitchen operations are efficient and cost-effective.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop meal plans that support the health and well-being of our residents.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellent service and quality.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure that our culinary services meet the highest standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cooking for large numbers.
- NVQ Level 2 in catering and hospitality or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a catering environment.
- 12 months of experience in managing a kitchen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
