About Marie Curie

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist in our charity shops, helping us raise crucial funds for a wonderful cause. Our stores rely on donations from the public, selling a wide variety of products including clothing, homeware, books, CDs, and DVDs.

The role involves sorting through donations, identifying high-quality items, and preparing them for sale. Volunteers will also provide exceptional customer service, operate the till, and contribute to maintaining a clean and tidy shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sort donations and identify valuable or high-quality items
  2. Prepare items for sale by checking, hanging, steaming, sizing, and pricing
  3. Deliver exceptional customer service on the shop floor
  4. Operate the cash register
  5. Assist with basic housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized shop
