Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Engineer to join our team at PragmatIC Semiconductor. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for developing and improving thin film deposition processes for our flexible IC production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize thin film deposition processes, including metal, dielectric, and semiconductor materials.
  • Improve existing processes to meet mass manufacturing requirements, demonstrating acceptable performance via Cp/CpK, throughput, and defectivity.
  • Collaborate with the Research team to develop advanced processes for next-generation flexible IC devices.
  • Optimize TFT Barrier Layer deposition process, delivering aggressive throughput and quality improvements.
  • Develop semiconductor deposition to meet TFT performance consistency at scale.
  • Improve resistor layer performance uniformity and develop next-generation hardware solutions.
  • Establish comprehensive characterization of sputtered films and devise introductory process controls.
  • Train a PVD engineer to support the above tasks.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physical Sciences or Electronics Engineering.
  • PhD with an emphasis on practical micro/nanoscale device fabrication is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools and knowledge of SQL/databases and 6-sigma methodologies.
  • Previous experience in Micro-electronics fabrication, particularly in vacuum deposition of thin films.
  • Good knowledge and experience of characterisation techniques for microstructure fabrication.
  • Excellent knowledge of Physical Vacuum Deposition techniques.
  • Good track record of industrial experience in device fabrication process development.
