About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and innovative IT Teacher to join our team at GSL Education. As an IT Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality IT education to secondary school students, devising engaging lesson plans, and monitoring student progress in adherence to the national curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver IT lessons aligned with the national curriculum, catering to individual student needs.
- Employ diverse teaching methods, including lectures, group activities, and hands-on projects, to enhance student engagement.
- Evaluate student progress through regular assessments, homework, and tests.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents, identifying areas for improvement and success strategies.
- Utilise technology and digital resources to enrich the learning experience.
- Participate in extracurricular activities like coding clubs, IT fairs, and field trips.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement school-wide programs and initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Teaching certification or qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS).
- Previous experience teaching IT to school students.
- Profound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Updated DBS.
