About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Counsel to join their legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified solicitor to support the expanding volume of SaaS agreements with enterprise and mid-market clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the sales and account management teams in all aspects of customer agreements, from developing internal strategy to negotiation and closing of full SaaS agreements.
  • Resolve client queries in contract negotiations and provide expert advice on data privacy rules and company secretary filings.
  • Assist with legal reviews and RFP responses, ensuring compliance with regulations and GDPR.
  • Provide HR and company secretarial assistance across seven jurisdictions.
  • Pre- and post-investment related assistance, together with CFO and external counsel, including continual maintenance of the data room.
  • Assist with maintenance and improvements of contract management processes and systems as well as the implementation and enforcement of contract policies.
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with ideally 2-4 years PQE and in-house experience.
  • Immediately available or with a short notice period, with the start date ASAP.
  • Experienced in managing and negotiating contracts and data privacy, preferably in FinTech/Payments.
  • Knowledgeable in data privacy rules and company secretary filings.
  • Skilled in customer/partner negotiations and explaining contract terms.
  • Experience with payment schemes is a plus.
