We are seeking a skilled Deputy Stock Management Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Swindon. As a key member of the logistics department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse management, with a strong focus on stock control and inventory management. Key responsibilities include:

  • WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient use of resources and personnel
    • Develop and implement effective stock control procedures to minimise errors and maximise productivity
    • Collaborate with the warehouse team to achieve targets and goals
  • STOCK CONTROL AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
    • Conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
    • Evaluate and implement improvements to existing stock management systems
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal stock levels
  • SUPPORT AND TRAINING
    • Provide guidance and training to warehouse operatives to enhance their skills and knowledge
    • Support the development of the warehouse team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 3 years' experience in warehouse management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of stock control and inventory management principles
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective procedures and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Microsoft packages and ERP systems
