Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Relief Support Worker to join our team in Middlesbrough. As a key member of our support staff, you will provide person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  1. Providing emotional and practical support with personal care needs, household tasks, and medication administration
  2. Collaborating with service users, their families, and involved professionals to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach
  3. Encouraging participation in various activities within the home and community
  4. Performing general administrative duties and housing management tasks

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support. You will work collaboratively as part of a supportive team, adhering to our positive behaviour support framework and promoting a culture of mutual respect.

This relief position offers flexibility, allowing you to choose shifts that suit your needs. The varied shift pattern includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, making it an ideal opportunity for those with personal commitments or other responsibilities.

A minimum of experience is required for this role, but if you are new to the field, we encourage you to consider our permanent positions, which offer comprehensive training and development opportunities.

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum (dependent on experience). Benefits include a probationary bonus, pension contributions, 28 days annual leave, and company-paid enhanced DBS checks.
