### Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter and Locksmith to join our team at Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL). As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of HMP Standford Hill.

### Key Responsibilities

* Utilize your carpentry and locksmithing skills to maintain and repair facilities within the prison
* Work alongside experienced colleagues to provide a safe and secure environment for prisoners, employees, and visitors
* Collaborate with the team to identify and implement solutions to improve facilities maintenance processes

### Requirements

* Substantiated experience in a similar role or equivalent qualification
* Competency in the use and operation of power tools and machinery
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office Excel and Word
* Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
* Up-to-date First Aid at Work Qualification
* City & Guilds, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
