Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a strong background in employment law and HR issues, with excellent written skills and the ability to adapt their tone to suit different audiences. They will be responsible for analyzing legislation and interpreting it in the context of UK employment law, creating engaging content for our sales teams and subscription websites, and maintaining our consultancy offering to ensure it remains up-to-date and relevant.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze HR themes and trends, as well as new employment laws, to create a variety of new sales assets for use by prospects and sales teams.
- Maintain and continually develop content on employment law and HR subscription websites, providing written technical and practical guidance on employment law matters.
- Ensure the Group's consultancy offering, including template contracts and handbooks, is kept up-to-date in respect of legal and other important developments.
- Create and deliver training sessions as required.
- Ensure the Group's perspective is considered in the future shaping of employment law by responding to Government consultations on employment law and HR matters.
- Create bespoke employment law presentations for sales and existing client purposes, and manipulate content accordingly.
- Provide speedy reactive summary briefings on topical employment law issues and employment law updates for an advisory and sales audience.
- Undertake research projects on areas of employment law to ensure sufficient resources are available to consultants, focusing on enhancing resources in specific sectors of industry.
- Ensure internal tools created for use by advisory departments are continually enhanced.
- Write articles and various types of content for employment law websites, as well as internal, industry-specific, and national publications on employment law matters and case law.
- Provide speedy comment for external publications on topical employment matters and case law as and when required.
- Update the Marketing department with topical news stories, legislative changes, and supplying content.
- Respond to ad hoc employment law queries from all areas of the Group via email and verbal communication.
- Create employment law and HR policies for clients and use on websites.
- Undertake research under own initiative.
- Keep personal employment law knowledge up-to-date.
- Assist in the promotion of awareness of the Group's broader research activities and foster excellent working relationships with all departments and teams.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR issues.
- A commercial mindset tuned to exposing opportunities for business growth.
- Experience of analyzing legislation and interpreting it in the context of UK employment law.
- Excellent written skills and ability to adapt written tone to suit audience.
- An excellent eye for detail.
- Strong research skills.
- An ability to convey legal information in a creative manner.
- Ability to work under pressure to short-term and long-term deadlines.
