Expert Trauma-Informed Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and innovative HCPC registered Psychologist to deliver training, consultation, and direct work with children, young people, and their carers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with providers of care for Looked After Children and Young People to provide detailed assessments and formulations which inform therapeutic care and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supporting teams to develop an understanding of the impact of developmental trauma, how this translates into behaviour, and how to work therapeutically with this group. This expertise will be utilised to support and advise staff teams across the region, providing psychological guidance to enhance the delivery of attachment-based trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored therapeutic training to upskill care staff
  • Provide detailed assessments and formulations to inform therapeutic care and risk management
  • Support and advise staff teams to develop an understanding of developmental trauma and its impact on behaviour

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of trauma-informed care services, working closely with care providers to ensure that children and young people receive the best possible support.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the importance of trauma-informed care and the need for skilled professionals to support the delivery of high-quality services.

Requirements:
  • HCPC registration as a Psychologist
  • 1 year's experience in a similar role (preferred)
