About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant to lead our contaminated land projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments (DQRAs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and delivering contaminated land projects including site investigation and remediation for a range of clients.
  • Providing technical assessment and support in contaminated land to ensure high-quality delivery of projects that may be complex and large-scale.
  • Undertaking and supporting the design, implementation, and verification of environmental remediation works.
  • Managing communication and liaison with clients and a wide range of project stakeholders, from clients to regulators, to facilitate project delivery and maintain a positive company reputation.
  • Participating in business development activities and managing key clients.
  • Writing high-standard reports that are technically accurate and commercially focused.
  • Assisting with training and development of junior staff to enable them to achieve their potential and deliver effective business results.
Requirements
  • Be educated to degree level (or higher) in a science-related subject.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in contaminated land consulting with a focus on DQRAs and a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Be proficient with relevant software tools for environmental risk assessment and modelling.
  • Have strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate diverse project teams.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body and evidence of ongoing CPD maintenance.
  • Geotechnical experience would be advantageous but not essential.
