Job Title: Building Services Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team at Skilled Careers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including fault finding, testing, and repair of electrical building services equipment.
  2. Perform various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
  3. Close and update completed PPM tasks on the site computerised maintenance system.
  4. Carry out small electrical installation work.
  5. Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  6. Ensure company and site health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  7. Maintain accurate site records and documentation in association with all site works.
  8. Work from platforms and ladders.
  9. Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  10. Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.

Requirements:

  1. City & Guilds/NVQ - Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent.
  2. City & Guilds 17th Edition IEE.
  3. Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  4. Demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.
  5. Customer service skills.
  6. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Able to work unsupervised.
  8. Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.

Desirable:

  1. City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test & Inspection.
  2. Knowledge and use of computer software - Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems.
