**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Teaching Associate to join our team at the University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing teaching and assessment in the Department of Sociology, with a focus on the Sociology of Gender and Reproduction.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Teach on undergraduate papers SOC10 Gender and SOC13 Health, Medicine and Society
  • Contribute to other undergraduate papers on gender and reproduction, including SOC4 Concepts and Arguments, and supervise undergraduate dissertations
  • Contribute to teaching on the MPhil in Sociology pathways and the MPhil in Health, Medicine and Society, according to research expertise
  • Mark and assess undergraduate and MPhil work

**General Duties**

  • Teaching and course development
  • Outreach and examining

**Requirements**

  • Relevant teaching experience
  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Active, collegial engagement in research, teaching, and outreach in the Sociology of Gender and Reproduction
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to support and maintain the Department's and University's national and international reputation for excellence in teaching

The Department of Sociology is part of a joint undergraduate degree programme in Human, Social and Political Sciences (HSPS) and also has a vibrant MPhil and PhD programme.
