Job Title: Process Technician

Location: Telford – Hortonwood

Hours: 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 10pm – 6am. 5 days a week, rotating shifts.

Role Overview:

The Process Technician will be responsible for the setup and operation of the foiling process. Key aspects of this role include working flexibility to meet production requirements, fault rectification, and problem-solving throughout the production process. A positive attitude towards process and product conformity, as well as continual improvement, is critical.

Mandatory Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all organisational policies, management systems, and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
  • Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
  • Represent the organisation in a positive way to avoid damage to the corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
  • Promote and display the Epwin Core Values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record process parameters at required times.
  • Carry out relevant checks on assigned products as required by the product quality plan.
  • Record scrap information and segregate non-conforming products from good production.
  • Communicate information via relevant communication channels.
  • Set and produce quality products.
  • Perform technical activities adhering to the production schedule.
  • Alert relevant people to process and product concerns.
  • Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Shift Co-ordinator and the training plan.
  • Project a positive attitude in all aspects of work and collaborate with cross-functional departments to promote a strong team culture.
  • Engage positively with Statistical Process Control (SPC) to aid efficiency and continual improvement.
  • Safeguard property issued by the company.
  • Control the shutdown of the foiling line, including emergency shutdown.
  • Set the process to line-specific job variances.
  • Install, uninstall, and store all foiling line tooling.
  • Ensure the workplace is clean and tidy, following all housekeeping procedures associated with tasks.
  • Engage positively with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to improve and maintain the integrity of production, safety, and quality systems.
  • Carry out low-level preventative maintenance tasks when required.
  • Start-up the foiling line.
  • Fault rectification and problem-solving.
  • Transfer knowledge and skills among the team as a mentor.
  • Undertake reasonable duties as and when required.
  • Adhere to shutdown, setting, and start-up procedures.
  • Adhere to fault rectification procedure.
