Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in providing neurorehabilitation services to individuals with physical disabilities and complex conditions.

About the Role:
  • Provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment plans aligned to the aspirations of clients in maximizing functional independence.
  • Carry out access and home visit assessments and implement appropriate aids and equipment to maximize functional independence.
  • Act as a key worker for clients at CRC, supporting their rehabilitation, stay, and discharge plan.
  • Hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision.
  • Work as a member of the multidisciplinary neuro-rehabilitation team, contributing to the planning, development, and delivery of an effective and efficient service.
Person Specification:
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Membership of Health Professionals Council.
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses/continual professional development.
  • Membership of BAOT/COT.
  • Post-qualification experience of working with physical disability and neurological rehabilitation.
  • Experience in working with complex physical conditions.
  • Experience in administering standardized assessments and clinical reasoning in choosing appropriate assessments, including home visits.
  • Experience with manual handling.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
