This role is based at our college campus in St Helens, which is known for its positive and bustling atmosphere. As an Academic Professional, you will have the opportunity to design and deliver high-quality educational learning materials, develop and implement subject improvement plans, and integrate industry experience into teaching to provide practical insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Deliver Educational Learning Materials: Create engaging lesson plans and educational resources that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Subject Improvement Planning: Develop and implement subject improvement plans to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Teaching and Facilitating: Facilitate the learning process by developing appropriate interactions with individuals and whole groups.
  • Supporting Course Teams: Assist the Head of Faculty in preparing and delivering courses within the College's Curriculum Plan.
  • Industry Integration: Integrate industry experience into teaching to provide practical insights.
  • Safeguarding and Compliance: Promote College values and adhere to safeguarding policies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Qualifications: Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in English or related fields.
  • Certificate in Education: Possess a Certificate in Education or be committed to achieving one within 2 years of appointment.
  • Teaching Experience: Have valuable experience in teaching or relevant industry expertise.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for education.
  • Commitment to Student Welfare: Commit to promoting student welfare and fostering inclusivity.
