ALS Recruiting Solutions is seeking a skilled Ocean Freight Operator to join our team. As an Ocean Freight Operator, you will be responsible for the completion of ocean freight operations from start to finish. This includes quoting and pricing, ensuring the best rates are secured, as well as liaising with shippers, hauliers, and carriers. You will also be responsible for key account management, arranging for the timely and accurate documentation of shipments, and creating and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working with a leading freight forwarder and be aware of all aspects of the shipment process from start to finish. They will also be able to collaborate with customers to provide the best service available, reach all deadlines within the time constraints provided, and possess confident and effective communication skills. If you have the skills and experience to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

* Complete ocean freight operations from start to finish
* Quote and price shipments to ensure best rates are secured
* Liaise with shippers, hauliers, and carriers
* Manage key accounts from booking to delivery
* Arrange for timely and accurate documentation of shipments
* Create and maintain strong relationships with clients

Requirements:

* 2+ years of experience working with a leading freight forwarder
* Awareness of all aspects of the shipment process from start to finish
* Ability to collaborate with customers to provide best service available

* Confident and effective communication skills
