About the Role
ALS Limited is seeking a full-time Environmental Microbiologist to join our team in Newcastle. As a key member of our laboratory, you will be responsible for leading a team and ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely operation of tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and analysis of water samples for various tests, adhering to ALS Quality Work Instructions.
  • Completing tasks and analyses within designated time frames and quality standards.
  • Preparing and analyzing microbiological samples.

Requirements
  • Microbiological experience in a commercial testing laboratory.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills.
  • A desire to work in a high-throughput, customer-focused environment, with preference given to those with previous commercial laboratory experience.
  • A strong desire to exceed client expectations by delivering quality results on time.
  • A genuine interest in the science industry, preferably with relevant qualifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Compensation Package
The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive discounts with Bupa, HCF, Hertz, HSBC, and Virgin Australia, as well as opportunities for career development and progression within ALS.
