Fire Risk Assessor Job Description

Sanctuary Group is seeking a highly skilled Fire Risk Assessor to join our Fire and Security team in Hull. As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our residents by conducting fire risk assessments and audits, and providing recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fire risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential fire hazards and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Produce and maintain reports and documentation to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Raise awareness of fire risks and promote fire safety measures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure that fire risk assessments are conducted in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Level 4 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent qualification.
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role, such as Fire Risk Surveyor, Fire Risk Assessor, or Fire Safety Officer.
  • Proven track record of conducting fire risk assessments in the social housing or construction sector.
  • Knowledge of Fire regulations, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and current good practice.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
