The company operates nineteen practice locations in the greater Boston area, South Shore, and Cape Cod, providing comprehensive ophthalmic care to patients. As an entry-level position, this role offers motivated individuals free training to become certified by JCAHPO as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant within 24 months from the date of hire.

This Ophthalmic Assistant plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive ophthalmic care under the direct supervision of the department supervisor. Responsibilities include assisting the physician in gathering patient data, maintaining a conducive clinical environment, and performing various essential tasks such as conducting visual acuity testing, visual field testing, lensometry, auto refractometry, refractometry, pupil assessment, extraocular motility, gross external examination, applanation tonometry, tonopen, eye drop instillation, diagnostic testing, and participating in patient care within a clinical setting.

This full-time position is available Monday-Friday with no nights or weekends. Estimated salary for this role is $45,000-$60,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location of the company.
