Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Affairs Strategist to lead medical activities in the UK Vaccines Medical Team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with the ABPI code of Practice and a strong understanding of the changing UK healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, define and execute medical activities that support the therapy area, including advisory boards, scientific meetings, and local evidence generation plans.
  • Drive UK medical strategy and plans, aligning with global strategies for the brand.
  • Become a therapy area expert and provide scientific advice to colleagues in GSK.
  • Advise on medical and ethical matters to support colleagues across GSK UK.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain strong relationships with key external experts and professional bodies.
  • Act as the Local Medical Lead for UK vaccine clinical studies, establishing the need and type of study and providing input into post-study analysis.

Requirements:

  • Extensive applied knowledge and experience working with the ABPI code of Practice in a copy approval/medical review setting.
  • Medical Affairs experience in a relevant therapy area.
  • A good understanding of the changing UK health care environment.
  • Proven project management skills to lead and manage change projects.

The estimated salary for this role is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
