Role Overview

Randstad Construction & Property is working with a leading National Facilities Management company to find an experienced Fabric Engineer for their team in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on site, ensuring tasks are completed within agreed timescales.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to reactive works within the team
  • Liaising with Clients representatives regarding maintenance & repair tasks
  • Undertaking site surveys & producing Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
  • Repairing floor and wall coverings, ceiling tiles, and other building installations
  • Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, Filter Changes AHU's / FCU's, and basic plumbing requirements
Requirements

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous Fabric or Carpentry experience
  • Experience of working in high-profile work environments
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in Carpentry
  • Good Customer relationship skills
  • Able to understand technical drawings/instructions and interpret processes
  • Organizational skills, including self-management and material requirement determination
  • Experience with H & S procedures, COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment, etc.
