Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer Position

Evan Craig is seeking a highly skilled Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to lead complex geo-environmental projects and provide technical expertise. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage geo-environmental projects, including site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation design.
  • Provide technical leadership in contaminated land assessment, geotechnical engineering, and environmental risk management.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to develop their technical skills and career progression.
  • Conduct and supervise site visits, fieldwork, and data collection activities, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Support business development efforts, including preparing proposals, tender submissions, and building client relationships.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years background in geo-environmental engineering, with a proven track record in managing complex projects.
  • Strong project management skills, with background in leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD, geotechnical modelling software).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
