Role Overview

As a functional assessor for our client, you will play a critical role in evaluating the functional capacity of claimants and providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments to support the decision-making process. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct initial reviews, paper-based, face-to-face, video, or telephone assessments to evaluate how a claimant's health condition or disability affects their day-to-day life.
* Create comprehensive reports of the evidence gathered for each claimant, including observations, analysis, and interpretation of clinical information and supporting evidence.
* Collaborate with the wider team to ensure seamless delivery of assessments and reports.

Our Offer

We take your training and development seriously, and you will begin with a 12-week training programme with time set aside for self-development learning. You will start at £38,500 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus a 5% retention bonus. On achievement of remote approved status, your salary will increase to £39,900 plus up to 10% bonus. On achievement of face-to-face delivery, your salary will increase to £41,500 plus up to 10% bonus.

Your Requirements

* One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic.
* Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other) without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN.
* Excellent observational and communication skills, giving you the ability to listen, empathise, and dig deeper.
* The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
* Demonstrable experience with using IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems such as MS Teams.
