Job Title: Facilities Manager - Property Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager / M&E Consultant to join our dynamic team at our commercial property consultancy in Bristol.

As a Facilities Manager/M&E Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of commercial properties in the Bristol area. Your main responsibilities will include conducting surveys, assessing costs, obtaining sub-contractor quotes, managing maintenance contracts, and overseeing all projects related to our clients' properties.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in facilities management and possess excellent project management skills. You should also have a good understanding of property maintenance and be able to conduct defect diagnosis. A good eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills are also important qualities we are looking for in our ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting surveys of commercial properties to assess their maintenance needs and provide cost estimates.
  • Gathering and analysing sub-contractor quotes to ensure our clients receive the best services at the best prices.
  • Managing all maintenance contracts and ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and within the agreed budget.
  • Overseeing all projects related to our clients' properties, including renovations, repairs, and maintenance works.
  • Writing detailed reports for our clients, outlining any issues identified and recommending solutions.
  • Conducting defect diagnosis and providing expert advice to clients on how to address any issues.

Requirements:

  • A degree in mechanical or electrical discipline, facilities management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in facilities or property management, preferably in a commercial setting.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of property maintenance and repairs, with the ability to conduct defect diagnosis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to write detailed reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
