Health Protection Nurse Role
At NHS Fife, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Protection Nurse to join our East Region Health Protection Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the protection of public health in the East Region.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with Health Protection Nurse Specialists and Consultants in Public Health to cover the East Region Health Protection function.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on health protection matters to healthcare professionals and the public.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of health protection policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Registered as a nurse/midwife on the NMC register.
- Relevant first-level degree and post-registration qualifications in health protection or a related field.
- Extensive post-registration experience in community health and public health nursing.
- Excellent analytical, judgemental, communication and computer skills.
Working Hours and Conditions
Normal working hours are between 8-6pm, Monday to Friday. There will be a requirement to provide cover for the regional on-call health protection service and possibly weekend working.
