Team Leader - Days Grosvenor Manor Care Centre

We are seeking a motivated and caring Team Leader to join our team at Grosvenor Manor Care Centre, a purpose-built care home facility in Great Boughton, Chester. Our home is registered to provide care to 81 residents with various needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care.

About the Role:

  • Promote high standards of person-centered clinical nursing care to residents.
  • Manage and allocate duties to the care team, ensuring quality delivery of care during shifts.
  • Be a role model and demonstrate person-centered care delivery.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults in your care.
  • Manage the delivery of residents' personalized care according to their agreed plan of care.
  • Promote professional standards within the home, supporting the Deputy and Home Manager.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
  • Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage daily rotas and delegate workload, ensuring sufficient and safe use of manpower.
  • Build relationships with external professionals.
  • Assist the Home Manager in carrying out regular quality audits of care plans.

Requirements:

  • Medication management and administration experience.
  • Experience working with older people.
  • Care certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or above is essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent/achievement within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Evidence of contributing to the assessment, planning, and evaluation of care needs for older people.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and their application in a residential/nursing setting.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence.
