Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist at BMW Plant Hams Hall, you will play a key role in driving innovation and improving operational efficiency. You will work with state-of-the-art technologies and complex data systems to tackle challenges in predictive maintenance and optimize logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement statistical models to predict maintenance needs and optimize logistics operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
- Work with external tech companies to spearhead innovation initiatives.
- Investigate generative AI applications to enhance operational transparency and efficiency.
- Enhance expertise in cloud computing using platforms and tools from AWS, Azure, and others.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above.
- Programming experience with a preference for Python & JavaScript skills.
- Database knowledge with a grasp of using SQL databases.
- Analytical expertise in areas such as data mining, machine learning, statistical signal processing, and pattern recognition.
- Business intelligence insight with experience in low/no code platforms.
