Pinnacle Group seeks an experienced Maintenance Professional to ensure our schools and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant.

This role involves performing routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed and keeping the premises clean and orderly. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will join our Facilities Management team based at schools in Exeter, working closely with colleagues to achieve high standards and create safe, welcoming environments.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, life assurance, and enhanced pension scheme.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure security integrity of the school buildings and grounds through locking and unlocking, patrols, monitoring.
  • Carry out defined Planned Preventative Maintenance responsibilities in accordance with each school's schedule and individual's skills.
  • Where appropriate provide access, escort, liaise with and assist service providers on site to undertake remedial work or Planned Prevented Maintenance.
  • Carry out minor repairs and decoration works
  • Respond to emergency situations such as floods, bodily fluids and effecting temporary or permanent rectification in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.
  • Checks of BMS, boilers, hot water functioning, pest inspections, drains, gullies for blockages and plant rooms
  • Carry out day-to -day duties according to daily schedule, i.e., litter picking, Bin emptying, sweeping, refreshing toilets.
