About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a quality catering service that meets the needs of our residents, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures, minimizing waste and using equipment correctly.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues to the Chef Manager or relevant authorities.

Requirements

  • Level 2 food safety certificate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including control of substances harmful to health (COSHH).
  • Previous catering experience, with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
  • Experience of working with older people, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

  • Ability to organize time and prioritize activities effectively.
  • Ability to work in a pressured environment, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team, with a focus on delivering excellent results.
