About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work in a dynamic environment with a leading manufacturer of aero engines and industrial gas turbine components.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for plant equipment and building maintenance, as well as project planning and implementation, plant equipment layouts, and troubleshooting equipment problems for assigned plants within one or more facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
  • Determining feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
  • Providing technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages, and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
  • Testing newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
  • Reporting on maintenance and engineering activities to management.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of electrical control systems (prints, VFDs, motors, drives, servos, sensors...)
  • Knowledge of ladder logic software (ProWORX 32, RSLogix, SoMachine).
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar software for designing.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software for design.
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and Siemens PLCs and drives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for supervisory of outside contractors and technicians.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
