Job Summary

The salary for this position is up to £49,083 per annum.

Your primary responsibility as a Senior Supervising Social Worker will be to manage a caseload of approved and registered foster carers. This includes providing dedicated support through regular visits, video conferencing, and telephone calls. You will also play a crucial role in the assessment process, conducting initial assessments for potential foster carers and presenting these assessments to the Fostering Panel.

  • You will actively contribute to the recruitment, selection, and training of prospective foster carers, ensuring they are well-equipped for their role. Your commitment to maintaining high professional standards for the service will be essential.
  • As a leader within the team, you will provide supervision to other Social Workers, fostering an environment of continuous development.
  • Effective communication channels with internal and external colleagues are necessary to support effective practice. Safeguarding children and prioritizing their welfare in all activities is a fundamental responsibility, including recording, investigating, and acting upon critical incidents and allegations.
  • You will model and help others develop social work professionalism and effective caseload management.

Requirements:

  • A Social Work Qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Past fostering experience is necessary.
