About the Role


The Advanced Paramedic position at East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician to join our team in delivering high-quality patient care.


As an Advanced Paramedic, you will work within our Critical Care Desk, providing advanced clinical management and coordination of complex and challenging care to patients in clinically demanding situations.


You will work as an autonomous practitioner, prioritizing and managing emergency calls, and deploying critical care assets as needed.


Main Responsibilities


Provide advanced clinical care, leadership, and education/supervision across a range of clinical settings


Work within the Critical Care Desk (CCD) on a rotational basis, alongside operational patient-facing duties, clinical leadership, education, and research responsibilities


Collaborate with other key members of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) to ensure the appropriate resourcing allocation and provision of clinical care


Requirements


Hold a MSc in Advanced Practice, Advancing Clinical Practice, or Advanced Clinical Practitioner


Be a HCPC Registered Paramedic with no restrictions to practice


Be willing to undertake further development to become a non-medical independent prescriber


Have a teaching or practice education qualification or equivalent demonstrable ability


Have mentoring and coaching qualification and evidence of application
