Job Title: Senior Civil Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join our team at High Profile Resourcing Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing civil structures, particularly within the water industry, energy, renewables, highways, or infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply knowledge and experience independently or while supervising a team.
  • Be responsible for projects and programmes of work within the consultancy, particularly in design.
  • Perform technical design and analysis for new and existing steel and concrete structures using appropriate software and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to lead project delivery.
  • Lead quality, sustainability, and safety initiatives throughout the design and asset lifecycle.
  • Prepare project briefs, scopes of work, and bid proposals.
  • Manage time and budgets to meet project milestones and schedules.
  • Contribute to personal and professional growth, as well as the development of colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer, member of IStructE or ICE.
  • Minimum 2+ years post graduate experience to Senior Civil Engineers with expertise in designing and analyzing civil structures, particularly within the water, energy, renewables, highways, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Knowledge of structural engineering codes (Eurocodes, BSI, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in reinforced concrete (RC) design, including water and soil retaining structures and foundations.
  • Experience in steelwork design.
  • Understanding of geotechnics and soil-structure interactions.
  • Experience in the water/utilities sector is an advantage.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and approve structural designs.
  • Proficiency in computational analysis techniques and software; knowledge of BIM is a plus.
  • Ability to inspect, diagnose, and recommend re-use or adaptation of existing structures.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques.
  • Commitment to sustainability, including re-use of structures and low carbon design.
  • Experience in project and business management, including resource planning and fee estimation.
  • Understanding of cost and contract management is an advantage.
  • Ownership and leadership in growing the company's capability.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Client-facing with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communicator, able to explain complex concepts to various audiences.
  • Supportive and mentoring attitude towards colleagues.
