An expanding accountancy practice in the North West is seeking a highly skilled Client Manager / Accounts Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of clients.
As a Client Manager / Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring their accounting needs are met with the highest standard of service.
You will lead a team of accountants, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting and compliance, while providing strategic advice to help clients grow their businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact for all accounting and financial matters.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns for clients.
- Provide clients with proactive advice on tax planning, business strategy, and financial performance.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss their financial performance and offer tailored advice.
- Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants and provide training and development support.
- Ensure all deadlines are met for accounts, tax, and other filings.
- Assist with business development activities, including onboarding new clients and participating in networking events.
- Monitor client budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed efficiently and profitably.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
- Solid knowledge of UK GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a passion for helping clients grow their businesses.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
