Ribbons & Reeves are looking for a Maths Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding school in Lewisham. The ideal candidate will have a First Class Degree from a Top 25 UK university and some experience working with children in an education setting.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Engage students to unlock their potential and inspire a lifelong love of mathematics
  • Provide pastoral support and offer valuable insight to keen, intelligent minds
  • Work closely with teachers to support the delivery of mathematics lessons and develop students' mathematical skills
  • Earn while you gain experience and work towards a QTS or PGCE
  • Help struggling students achieve their maximum potential and reach their full potential
  • Gain valuable skills and experience working in a dynamic and supportive school environment
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support the development of students' mathematical knowledge and understanding
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures
  • Support the delivery of mathematics lessons and develop students' mathematical skills


Requirements:


  • A First Class Degree from a Top 25 UK university
  • Some experience working with children in an education setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Passion for mathematics and a desire to inspire students to learn
  • Ability to provide pastoral support and offer valuable insight to students
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
  • Ability to work with students of all ages and abilities
  • Experience of working in a school environment
