Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant at Sentara, you will play a vital role in ensuring the best possible care for our patients. Your duties will include interacting with patients, taking vitals, and preparing them for medical procedures. You will work closely with our medical team to provide exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care and administrative tasks as delegated by medical staff
- Interact with patients and their families to provide a positive experience
- Take vitals and prepare patients for medical procedures
- Assist with clinical and clerical duties as needed
Requirements
- HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support (Certification - American Heart Association)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Certification - American Association of Medical Assistants
- EMT Advanced - Certifications - National Registry Of Emergency Medical Technician
- EMT Basic - Certifications - National Registry Of Emergency Medical Technician
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - Certification - American Medical Technologists
