CK Group is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the manufacturing operations at their Cambridge site. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing production strategies to meet client demands and business objectives.

The Role:

This is a critical position where you will oversee the manufacturing activities and develop a highly skilled team within the Production Department. Your expertise in GMP manufacturing of ATMPs and proven experience in production management will be invaluable in this role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement production strategies to meet client demands and business objectives.
  2. Act as a production primary point of contact during internal and external audits.
  3. Play a key role in facility design, capital projects, commissioning, and validation with support of future cleanroom expansion.
  4. Lead and manage a cross-functional team providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
  5. Implement effective working practices including implementation of shift systems.
  6. Oversee scheduling of staff and facilities to ensure uninterrupted manufacture and supply of ATMPs, and ensure all areas associated with manufacturing are compliant with UK Regulatory.

Your Background:

  1. Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or equivalent.
  2. Expertise in GMP manufacturing of ATMPs and proven experience in production management ideally within a CDMO cell therapy setting.
  3. Proven track record of scaling up/scaling out of ATMP manufacturing processes.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  5. Understanding and experience of aseptic processing and cleanroom technologies.
