Job Title: Wigs, Hair and Make-up Assistant

Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking a skilled and experienced Wigs, Hair and Make-up Assistant to join their team for the London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a critically acclaimed production in the heart of London's West End. As a Wigs, Hair and Make-up Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Wigs, Hair and Make-up team in creating and maintaining the high-quality wigs, hair, and make-up for the production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of wigs, hair, and make-up for the production
  • Work closely with the Wigs, Hair and Make-up team to ensure high-quality results
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of wig setting and dressing, makeup application, and other relevant skills
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless execution of the production
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role on a large-scale production
  • Excellent wig setting and dressing skills
  • Knowledge and skills of makeup application, including character make-up, fashion make-up, and prosthetics
  • Experience in styling of Afro-textured hair and gents hair styling

This is a full-time contract position, working Tuesday to Sunday. The contract will be for a year in the first instance, with the option to extend. The salary will be in line with the SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
