Our volunteer scheme at Children's Services provides a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families living on the Isle of Wight. As a volunteer, you will be part of a dedicated team that supports the great work already being done by staff at Children's Services.
Volunteering with us will enable you to develop new skills, knowledge, and experience, while also meeting new people and being part of a dynamic team. Whether you are retired, in further education, employed, or seeking employment, we are committed to supporting you through your volunteering journey.
Some of the exciting opportunities available include:
- Buddying/mentoring children, young people, and their families
- Carrying out return interviews for children in care who have gone missing
- Sitting on referral order panels to guide and support young offenders
- Supporting children and their families to access services and activities in their local community
- Mentoring schemes for young offenders and young people in care
