Job Opportunity

A leading UK-based news channel is seeking a skilled Broadcast Support Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the technical operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of broadcast systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to staff and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced live broadcast environment.
  • Work on traditional broadcast systems, including cameras, intercom, and audio mixers, as well as new IP and cloud-based technologies.
  • Support technology in an IP networking environment with NDI, Dante, and cloud-based systems.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and workflows, and take ownership of technical issues.
  • Liaise closely with vendors and users to ensure seamless technical operations.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of broadcast workflows and technologies within a live studio or outside broadcast environment.
  • Experience with graphics, intercom, cameras, mixers, and NDI/IP networking.
  • Good general IT and networking skills.

Working Arrangements:

This is a shift-based role, requiring flexibility to work on a rotational basis, including early starts and late finishes.
