Job Title: Computing Specialist

Estimated Salary: £42,500 per annum

A highly skilled and experienced Computing Teacher is required to join a dynamic 11-18 Academy in Liverpool.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To teach computing lessons to students of varying abilities, including delivery of lead lessons.
  • To be a proactive member of the department, contributing to effective implementation of all policies and procedures.
  • To participate in the operational activities of the Academy, including attendance at meetings, events and activities as required.
  • To create and maintain a safe and inclusive teaching environment.
  • To continuously improve standards, evaluate quality and plan for improvement within the Academy.
  • To lead and support students in achieving their full potential, promoting high standards of behaviour, learning and attainment.
  • To manage resources effectively, prioritizing the needs of the Academy.
Requirements:
  • A relevant degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A secure understanding of effective computing teaching practices.
  • An excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum Programme of study for computing at Key Stage 3 and exam specifications at Key Stage 4 & 5.
  • An understanding of the relationship between computing and the wider curriculum.
