Vets for Pets is a leading veterinary practice that values teamwork and collaboration. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RVN to join our team as a Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of veterinary nurses and supporting the Head Nurse in the management of the practice. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of veterinary nurses and providing guidance and support as needed
- Assisting the Head Nurse in the management of the practice, including rota management and holiday requests
- Working closely with the Practice Development Manager to develop and implement training programs for veterinary nurses
- Providing regular 1:1 meetings and appraisals for veterinary nurses
- Carrying out hospital care, operations, and nursing consults as needed
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience as an RVN
- Previous experience in leading a team and managing staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care
