Environmental & Sustainability Manager
Galldris Group
Location: Regional role - covering various construction projects in the UK

This is an exciting opportunity for an Environmental & Sustainability Manager to contribute to our team's success. The ideal candidate will have a background in Civil Engineering or Construction and be able to travel between sites. A full UK driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain project-specific environmental documentation
  2. Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and regulations
  3. Collaborate with project teams to deliver sustainable procurement and reduce embodied carbon
  4. Audit and report environmental performance to internal stakeholders and external clients
  5. Provide technical advice and solutions to address environmental challenges
  6. Review project performance and identify areas for improvement
  7. Liaise with clients, local authorities, and statutory bodies to ensure environmental compliance
  8. Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions
  9. Support the development and implementation of the company's environmental and sustainability strategy

Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and guidelines
  2. Formal auditing experience or training
  3. Experience embedding environmental considerations across projects
  4. Ability to use a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office

Skills:

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  3. Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  4. Ability to integrate with the construction team and contribute to project success

Qualifications:

  1. Professional membership of an environmental organization (IEMA)
  2. Relevant environmental or sustainability qualification
