About the Role

We are seeking an Executive Chef to join our team at the Stirling Highland Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality and presentation while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Head Chef/Senior Chef Role in a similar venue, with excellent cooking skills and a strong understanding of produce and ingredients. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, with experience of developing and leading a team.

A strong communicator with a creative approach to menu development, the successful candidate will drive sales growth by creating innovative dishes that exceed customer expectations. With a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills, they will oversee kitchen operations, managing inventory, labour costs, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that meet customer demands and exceed quality expectations
  • Lead and motivate a team of chefs to achieve high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage kitchen supplies effectively
  • Manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery and optimal labour utilization
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and service delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Head Chef/Senior Chef in a similar venue
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent
  • Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of local and seasonal produce
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing situations
