Pension Administration Team Manager

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our dynamic Client Services team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Third Party Administration (TPA) department, you will play a vital role in delivering market-leading services to our clients and members.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage a schedule of deliverables, prioritizing work and ensuring team capacity to meet client needs.
- Be the primary point of contact for team members regarding clients, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Represent the team on operational matters during Trustee meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain chargeability targets, identifying work outside agreed fee basis and preparing monthly fee invoices.
- Report on progress and any risks to the Administration Manager, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
- Continuously improve workflows and practices, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing changes as needed.
- Take the lead on complex cases, providing expert guidance and support to team members.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all systems, products, and clients, ensuring up-to-date expertise and effective service delivery.
Your Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in day-to-day pension administration, with a strong understanding of DB, DC, and CARE pension arrangements.
- Strong commercial awareness of the UK Pensions Market, with up-to-date knowledge of relevant pension legislation, technical developments, and industry best practice.
- Experience with Pensions Administration systems, such as UPM or similar.
- Experience in team and workflow management, with a focus on compliance with service quality standards.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with clients, members, and colleagues.
- Experience leading a team, with a collaborative and consultative approach.
