The salary for this role is £25,500-£28,000 per annum, paid pro rata for the 23.5 hours worked per week.

Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our service users to develop functional skills and participate in physical rehabilitation activities. Under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist, you will facilitate group and one-to-one sessions, enabling service users to build practical skills and engage in exercise programs.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of structured sessions, ensuring that service users receive tailored support to meet their needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • GCCSE/O-level (A-C) Mathematics, English, and a Science subject or equivalent NVQ2
  • 1 year experience working in a rehabilitation facility or similar environment as an assistant
  • Experience as an occupational therapy assistant, physiotherapy assistant, or other therapy assistant working under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
  • Good command of the English language, good verbal and written skills
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Fitness to handle the physical requirements of the job, including pushing people in wheelchairs, assisting someone to stand, moving equipment, and helping with personal care
