The Role
A Material Controller manages the inventory of company products or materials on site. This involves maintaining accurate records, monitoring levels, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. The role requires inspecting incoming materials, identifying discrepancies in records, and collaborating with production teams to ensure materials are available when needed. Implementing inventory policies and procedures is also key to success.

Requirements
To be successful, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of experience in inventory management, and proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are also essential.

Work Environment
Material Controllers work in warehouse or production environments, often on their feet. Full-time schedules are expected, with some overtime hours during peak production periods. Depending on the employer, shifts may include evenings, weekends, or holidays. With an estimated salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, this role offers a competitive compensation package for those who excel in inventory management.
